Does anyone have experience building a home studio?I'm looking into installing a small dance space in my basement for home practice.  I know a sprung floor would be ideal, but given the expense, I think it would be overkill for my needs since belly dance is relatively low impact (little to no jumping or stomping, unlike ballet, hip-hop, flamenco etc.).  My basement is concrete and I would rather install wood flooring than simply overlaying marley mats both for safety and aesthetic reasons.I'm wondering if wood over foam padding would be sufficient.  Also, what kind of wood is good for a dance floor? If you have a home studio, I'd love to hear a little about it!

You can ask Leigh Anne or Mallory, if you see them.  They both have home studios.

Thanks Sandi, I'll make sure to ask her tomorrow!
