When initiating the basic Camel Walk, should the left arm extend and sweep out to the side in an arc as it floats to the overhead position? For example, should the left arm sort of trace a clock face as the right arm is plunging down vertically?

It should sweep naturally upward without bending or straightening the elbow excessively.  It's a gentle float up, kind of like taking the Arm Undulation all the way overhead.  The placement depends on your arm/shoulder flexibility, but generally it is to the side along the same plane as the body.  I don't find it to be a forced placement.

    Thanks!
