The black underskirts look a lot like the 10-yard skirts from flyingskirts. a href=http://www.flyingskirts.com/catalog/001-spn.shtml title=www.flyingskirts.com/catalog...pn.shtmlwww.flyingskirts.com/catalog...pn.shtml/a They seem like a more substantial fabric than the typical gauze of 25-yard skirts, and not as full. And Ive never seen a 25-yard skirt trimmed with ribbon. br/br/In the video link, they are most likely wearing at least 2 25-yard skirts layerd overtop of each other. Thats the only way they can get the cross-over tucking and still have that much fullness at the hem. I have heard of the lovely Deb from The Red Camel once dancing with FOUR 25-yard skirts on! :)br/br/Hope that helps!

Originally posted by Margaret on tribe.net.I want to confirm that they appear to be wearing a Padma skirt over some variety of 10-25 yd. skirt. FYI, the Padma skirts are rare as hens teeth; they are almost always sold out on the FCBD site as well as Gypsy Dreams. But gorgeous if you are lucky enough to get your mitts on one. If not, they appear to be made from cotton saris with woven border used as the bottom edge. They are kind of sheer and need to be worn over something. If you can find a sari like that, its easy enough to make; the hardest part is getting the right sari.br/br/ If you like something brighter than the plain color-tipped black skirt that some of them have on, Painted Lady Clothiers on Etsy can make dipped skirts in any color combo you like. However, having said that, although her skirts are beautiful, she has had problems filling orders for several months due to some unforeseen trouble with her sewing machine and too-effective self-promotion, and is terribly backlogged- I have been waiting for an order since April- and appears to be so freaked out by her own production problems that she isnt responding to messages, claiming shes working frantically on trying to get these old orders filled and doesnt want to waste sewing time on typing. Hmmm. So I cant recommend her at this time, but maybe make a note of the name and wait until things are running smoothly again. I hope she gets it worked out soon and wish her the best; they look lovely.
