Suggestions for restaurant gigs

    Hello – ATS newbie here!  Just completed the GS/TT in Vancouver in August.  Started exploring ATS with a few students and troupe members.  Three of us had the opportunity to perform at a restaurant this last weekend.  I went in thinking – “oh, ATS is perfect for a restaurant” – then realized once we were there that some formations, such as lots of circling in a group for example, are not so ideal for a restaurant!  Any tips or suggestions on which components of ATS to focus on for small, intimate spaces such as these?  Thanks!



    You'd be best off using a cafe style formation.  A 2 or 3 person diagonal with leaders on one end or the other, creating two performance “fronts”.  This fits well in aisles of restaurants.  If you do a search in this board for “cafe style” you'll find a discussion about it that we migrated over from
