Last night as went over the walking taxeem and bodywave.  One student, associating the bodywave with little sister Arabic, asked if the bodywave was walked with the torso flatter to the side wall so the audience could see the undulation.  Should we be in regular performance angle since we're walking it forward…it seemed like it was a lot harder flatter to the side wall making it not a regular walk.  Am I making sense???Thank you,Zina

Keep it at performance angle.  Turning it to the side may indicate a pivot or a fade, depending on the direction of the traveling.

If the intention is to fade it, would you turn to the side?

Yes, and step back with intention.

Thanks, Sandi.  Info will be passed forward at our next class. 🙂
