Philippines | | Description: | I started to get interested in ATS® and FCBD® a year ago. Then I got lucky and had the chance to see in person the Akula Tribal Bellydance (Christine and Maxine) in Essex, London in Feb 2011. I liked the quiet beauty and elegance that I saw in Akula. It made me decide this is what I really want to do. I've been practicing on my own but recently,a group of close friends have joined me. We are calling the group Manila Tribal Union, but it might take us another year or two to be able to dance onstage at last, as we have only started with Level 1.There is still a long way to go but I 'm thoroughly enjoying the journey. Right now, there is no ATS® troupe in the Philippines so it can be quite a challenge. But Christine and Maxine, and recently, Yuska, have been fully supportive and encouraging.
