Each skirt is a one of a kind original creation, with variations on colors, embroidery and trim. Each skirt is hand made in the Gypsy Dream Studio in Vancouver, from cloth imported from India. The Padma skirt has four tiers of fabric, with the bottom tier measuring 12 meters (13 yards) around.

*Colors on the pictures might be slightly different from the actual colors of the skirts.
How to Care for your New Padma Skirt
Your Padma skirt is made from hand woven 100% cotton thread; and some metallic polyester thread in the trim along the bottom edge. The fabric has been preshrunk and the dye set with vinegar. This process ensures that your skirt stays the same length and that it retains it gorgeous colour.
If you wish to wash your Padma skirt, wash it by hand in your sink. Always use COLD water only to prevent further shrinking and colour bleeding. You may want to add a cup of white vinegar to the cold wash water the first time you wash your skirt, to ensure the colour is completely set.
To dry your Padma, gently squeeze the water out by hand. DO NOT WRING OUT THE SKIRT! Threads are more vulnerable to damage when they are wet. Instead put your washed Padma on a large dry towel and roll the skirt into the towel to absorb the water. Dry your skirt further by laying it flat to dry. You can steam iron the trim flat, once the skirt has dried completely.
Enjoy your new Padma skirt!
