Michiyo became so entranced with Middle Eastern Music that she took her first Bellydance class in 2001. She continued her study of both Folkloric and Oriental Bellydance after moving to Sydney Australia. In late 2006 she discovered American Tribal Style® Bellydance that has since become her lifetime passion. Armed with a referral by Devi Mamak (Director of Ghawazi Caravan) relocated to USA in 2007, began study at the FatChanceBellyDance® studio in San Francisco.

Now living the dream by teaching and performing as FatChanceBellyDance® member as well as continuing study with her master teacher Carolena Nericcio and all of the FCBD® instructors. In addition to Flamenco and Indian Classical Dancing, Michiyo is immersing various styles of Bellydance and fitness with amazing teachers across the globe. Her desire is to pass on all that she has learnt and to help the next generation achieve their goals.
