Online Teacher Training

WHEN: July 6-9, 2023 10am – 3pm Pacific time

PRICE: $550 usd (introductory price for this first event also includes testing fee)

Participants must have their General Skills Certification in order to apply for Teacher Training.

Students will be required to submit the following with their application:

(1) 3-5 minute video introduction in English*: Must be filmed with the same setup as student will have during teacher training. This includes camera, background, lighting, sound and microphone. Video should include their bio and why they’d like to be accepted into the teacher training program.

(2) Proof of General Skills Certification in the form of photograph of their certificate is required at the time if application. If the applicant cannot provide a copy, but has their certification, they must contact certifiedstudio@fcbd.com prior to submitting their application.

*This course will be held in English, if English is your second language, you may submit a second application video in your native language. During the training there will be opportunities to also present in your native language as time allows.

Applications will be reviewed in the order received.

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Upon application approval, students will receive a registration link and if applicable, a password for early registration access.

Early registration will be available in the following order:

Friday January 13, 2023 – Eligible students from the July 2021 Online General Skills course

Saturday January 14, 2023 – Eligible students from the September 2021 Online General Skills course

Sunday January 15, 2023 – Eligible students from the April 2022 Online General Skills course

Any remaining spots will be made available to all other eligible students on Monday January 16, 2023 in the order their application was received/approved.

Online General Skills

Join Carolena and her team of advanced instructors for Online General Skills for FCBD®Style.

This newly formatted 30-hour certification training will take place online via Zoom on October 12 – October 22, 2023. The course will cover FCBD®Style movements and concepts documented on instructional DVDs Volumes 1-7.

Participants must attend all 30 hours of the live online course, complete all homework assignments, and abide by all course terms and conditions. No exceptions. Upon completion of the course, graduates will receive a Certificate of Completion.

To ensure the best experience for participants, registration is limited to 20 people.

General Skills Certification:

Graduates who wish to receive their General Skills Certification will be required to pass a final exam to demonstrate proficiency in FCBD®Style vocabulary and concepts. Testing is optional and is not required to receive a Certificate of Completion, but General Skills Certification is a pre-requisite for acceptance into Teacher Training for FCBD®Style.

Prerequisites: Participants should have a working knowledge of belly dance. A minimum of one year of studying FCBD®Style is strongly recommended.

Participants must be proficient in English or must provide their own interpreter with prior approval from the instructors.
